Fast & Furious’ Actor Paul Walker Killed In Car Crash

Prayers and condolences are going out to the family of actor Paul Walker of the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise. Earlier today, he died in a fiery single-car crash in the Santa Clarita/Valencia area outside of Los Angeles.  According to TMZ (who first broke the story), he was taking a spin in a Porsche GT when the vehicle crashed into a tree and exploded.
A source familiar with the incident, tells NecoleBitchie.com:

Paul is the face of a Philippines relief benefit and today they held a drive for kids in Santa Clarita. He was at the company’s office where he also stores his car collection. He and a friend took a spin in one of his Porsches (they all collect cars) and they crashed.  One of the bosses on site attempted to save Paul but was fighting with the police who were trying to keep him back. One of his best friends got a fire extinguisher and tried to put out the fire.  Everyone is devastated and can’t believe it happened.
His reps confirmed on his Facebook:
It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide.  He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences.
Paul Walker is survived by a 15-year-old daughter who recently moved in to develop a closer relationship with him. He recently revealed to WENN:
We’re matching up sweet! She’s been with her mom her whole life and she wants a relationship with her pops. It’s working out really well right now.
He was 40 years old.
